MC died and ended up at the pearly gates of...high school? How does this work? As she goes through the entry ceremony in this desolate, red-skyed space beyond death, a group of delinquents crash and the leader, with fiery red hair, asks her: do you want to live or die? The key choice in this game becomes whether or not she chooses to be a prefect, or a bad apple, and the guys vary based on path. There is even a different look associated with which path she chooses (see left), which I thought was cool. Also, major clue, do NOT start with White Mask. He should be locked initially but isn’t, and I think that’s a really bad idea.
I was really excited when the game was first announced, and so I was in for some disappointment because it wasn't quite what I expected. Choices are not made normally, the reader makes choices in the game by touching certain parts of the characters’ bodies in cgs (NO! NOT THERE! I see that filthy mind of yours o.o). Good touch gets good endings, bad touch...bad endings. It was kinda lame - I played the whole thing without needing a guide there is only one ending where I struggled to figure out what to touch (can you keep those filthy thoughts to yourself! Gosh :P). To be fair, they do explain away why this system is acceptable and I cannot argue with it, but they will never be able to get this one past me again.
Finally, the endings left some to be desired, I understand that not everything should be explained, but some things really are left more vague than they should have been. All that being said, I loved the colorful cast of characters, the opening song is epic, and I liked this artstyle, too. Except, what is with those clothes??? They are so awkwardly revealing! I do have a theory that I wish I could discuss...but spoilers…
